This is Khelang-Kyi Lang-Go in vacations in the sea. My name is Srebrenka Racic, I live in Zagreb (Croatia) with my husband Goran, my horses and dogs. |

The animals had been always an important part of my life. I think I love horses from the day I was born and I started to ride when I was 8 years old. I did start to compete on ride shows with 15 y.o. , I am training and breeding horses till today. Of course, with horses, side by side the dogs go. |

I fell in love with Lhasas more than 20 years ago, when my trainer brought a Lhasa Apso from the USA. This dog was the first Lhasa in my country Croatia. Many years later someone wanted to make my dream come true, he is my husband Goran and decided to buy a Lhasa puppy for me. This baby, unfortunately, was not the Lhasa I did remember from 20 years before. |

The first Lhasa I saw, was looking and acting different, the same breed but completely different dog, his type, size, coat quality, etc. where different and I decided to start a research in internet , looking for that tibetan apso type that I had in my head and whom I fell in love in all those years. |

Finally I found a kennel name "KHELANG-KYI" ¡Those were the Lhasas I was looking for.! |

After writing the breeder, I found in my email box a very cold message from her, Patty Duque, asking for all kind of details about my home life, chldren, other animals or dogs at home, experience with long coated dogs and many other strange questions that usually nobody ask to sell a dog.
Almost all the breeders wish to place their dogs but this woman was different. I got scared and thought that she would never allow me to enjoy one of her dogs and perhaps that was the way to refuse my wish to have one Khelang-Kyi in our lives... |

In that moment she had a nice litter "L" and I liked specially one male called Khelang-Kyi Lang-Go because that was the dog I was always dreaming to have but of course I did never commented her about the possibility to have him. I finally decided to answer her, almost in "panic" and waiting for other of her cold answers but I was wonder when she realized about my serious intention to take care of a baby and mi ilussion to have one of her nice babies with me. |

She answered me with some conditions and one of them was to go to Spain to get personally my dog; from Croatia to Spain is not a short trip, even when I was not sure that going there I would come back with any of her babies with me. That test was only to confirm my real interest. |

We, Goran and me decided to go to see her and this "Dragon Lady" after meeting us with one of her best smile in her face, allowed us to have, by her own decision, because I repeat that I never asked for any dog of this litter, waiting for her exam, to allow us to get Lang-Go. She uses to make the choice of the babies depending of their character and type of life of the family, etc. |

That was the start of a nice friendship in the last years. Little by little, we met in different shows in the world, she is happy with my serious protection of her breeding and finally in this moment I proudly own FIVE of her dogs, I got also a special Colombian friend.
She encouraged me to ask for my own affix and that is why I have now my "KYI-LA " kennel name and the same year 2006, I bred my first litter, three wonderful babies, born in October. |

These babies are my first KYI-LA babies, out of two of her most beautiful dogs Khelang-Kyi Shu-La Tabu and Khelang-Kyi Maamo. Shu-La is a daughter of her most famous dogs, both world winners in Dortmund 2003, Ch. Tabu's CL Lace and Silk (Best of Breed) ad Multi Ch. Khelang-Kyi Ke-Lu (Best Junior) |

We use to go to the beach for vacation every year and our dogs are always with us. They enjoy their lives with us and we have time enough to be with them. ¡¡¡ They fill all the minutes of our day !!! |

In only three years, our lives were blessed by ¡¡¡ fourteen wonderful, lovely and real apsos !!! I love primitive type, called "monsters" by some modernist people. |
